Tyus Sansbury

I am a sports anchor and reporter with a strong foundation in both sports and news journalism, specializing in storytelling that connects audiences to the action on the field and the impact beyond it. I earned my Master’s in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where I concentrated in sports communication and developed hands-on experience across reporting, producing, podcasting, and on-air analysis.

 

My background includes serving as a beat reporter for 247Sports/CuseNation and WAER Radio, where I covered Syracuse men’s and women’s basketball, wrote game recaps, live-tweeted games, and conducted post-game interviews with players and coaches. I also worked as a Correspondent Intern with WVNY/WFFF in Washington, D.C., where I researched, reported, shot, and edited original news stories for digital platforms.

 

In addition to reporting, I’ve hosted podcasts, provided color commentary for live radio broadcasts, and supported studio productions as a facilitator at Syracuse University. Whether I’m breaking down game strategy, telling community-focused stories, or delivering highlights and analysis on-air, my goal is to inform, engage, and connect viewers through clear, compelling storytelling
